We have a dedicated, enthusiastic and friendly faculty and administrative staff. Our goal is to help each and every student to achieve his goal and dream to be a successful individual and a good human being. The Coordinator Office provides administrative service and support related to semester’s teaching and exam. The Department of CS&IT has the honor of being one of the pioneer departments of the Univeristy of Malakand established in 2001. The department offers four years’ degree programs in Computer Science (BCS) and Information Technology (BIT), and two years M.Sc. In Computer Science program, designed specifically for the students coming from degree colleges having 2-years B.Sc Computer Science background.

Our Objective

The main objective of the department is to produce Computer Scientists and Information Technology personnel in order to meet the growing demand for computer professionals across the country. It has a progressive vision to deliver outstanding Computer Science education and conducting research of high distinction. The department produces students and researchers in the field to meet the future academic goals of the country and carry out research and development in IT industry.

The mission of computer science and IT department is to apply knowledge in Computer Science, including in interdisciplinary areas that extend the scope of Computer Science and benefit society; to educate students to be successful, ethical, and effective problem-solvers and life-long learners who will contribute positively to the economic well-being of our region and nation and who are prepared to tackle complex 21st century challenges facing the world.
