Admissions to MPhil/ MPhil leading to PhD/ PhD - Spring 2012

Applications on prescribed forms are invited from candidates seeking admission to M.S/M.Phil, MS/M.Phil leading to Ph.D and Ph.D programs of the University of Malakand in the following disciplines:

Bio-Technology

Pharmacy

Botany

Physics

Chemistry

Sociology

Computer Science

Social Work

Mathematics

Islamic Studies

 ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

MS/M.Phil, MS / M.Phil leading to Ph.D:

  1. Relevant Master's degree or Bachelor degree (4-years), with at least Second Division or a CGPA of 2.50 on the scale of 4.00 from HEC recognized University/Degree awarding institution.
  2. GAT conducted by NTS/equivalent, with at least 50% cumulative score.

Ph.D:

  1. All candidates having relevant MS/MPhil or equivalent degree (at least 18 years of education) with at least CGPA of 3.00 on the scale of 4.,00 or first division from HEC recognized University/Degree awarding institution.
  2. International GRE (Subject) with minimum 45% percentile score or GAT (Subject) conducted by NTS with minimum 60% cumulative score.

Last date for submission of applications is 30th December, 2011

Note:

1.     The candidates employed in any Government or Semi-Government Department/ Organization must submit “No Objection Certificate” from the concerned Department/ Organization at the time of approval of admission.

2.     Disciplines where GAT/GRE is not available, the concerned departments will conduct and equivalent test and the minimum qualifying marks will be 70%.

4.    Schedule for interview / scrutiny of papers and remittance of fee will be given by each department within the period from January 05 - 12, 2012.

3.     Application forms can be obtained from National Bank of Pakistan University Campus Branch Chakdara on payment of Rs. 500/- (Bank Slip shall be attached with form) or can be downloaded from here. In case of downloading the form from the website, a bank draft of Rs. 500/- must be attached with the form. (Money Orders will not be accepted). Application forms, complete in all respects, must be submitted to the respective departments within due date.  Incomplete applications or those received after the due date will not be entertained.
